After getting a haircut at the local mall, I was anxious to get a much needed pair of cross-training sneakers, get to the gym, and return to my desk. After initially visiting four or five stores, I started going back to find one where I could get some good service in recommending the right shoe. Most stores ignored me or just provided minimal interaction. Upon, my second visit to Footaction, I asked for a recommendation for a good cross-trainer with support for my bad spine. The friendly salesperson tried to match my needs with her products. She did not hesitate to point out the more expensive shoes but did not try to push the most expensive ones on display. She wanted to make sure that I was happy and told me more about the particular shoe that caught my attention. I asked if there were any discounts or promos and she advised me to join their loyalty club, StarClub. With that , she went to the store manager and gave me a nice discount. I would have paid full price for the shoes even though they were more than I intended to spend but her good service justified the additional cost. Bottom line, hold out for good service!
